The Biomedical Research Education Program (BREP) along with several other exhibitors including pharmaceutical industries Elli Lily, Abbott and Amgen; research consortium INDUNIV, and science education programs such as Science on Wheels participated in the Bioscience Week Exhibit celebrated on September 20-21, 2007. The activity was held at the Belz Outlets in Canovanas, Puerto Rico. Over one thousand persons visited BREP's booth and over 1,400 comic books were distributed, free of charge, to students, teachers, and parents. The BREP program was represented by Educational Coordinator, Ms. Odalis García. Principal Investigator, Dr. Emma Fernandez-Repollet and Co-Investigator, Dr. Abe Schwartz visited the booth during the event.
