The BREP program was invited to participate in the “Puerto Rico Biotechnology Week” coordinated by the university-industry consortium INDUNIV. The activities included a special exhibit of technological equipment as well as education and research programs that impact the technological development of the Island. The exhibit was held at the Department of Commerce and Economic Development of Puerto Rico from September 19-23, 2005. The event was organized in support of the initiatives conducted by the Biotechnology Alliance, INDUNIV, as well as the academic and the industrial sectors to promote Puerto Rico’s competitiveness based on a knowledge economy. This exhibit provided a special forum to disseminate BREP informal education tools to the Puerto Rican industry and business community.
